This means that if you pressure someone into taking a photo or you share a sexual photo with someone, you’re breaking the law.

A good idea might be to set up Snapchat so that you only receive messages from people on your friends list.

You can do this by going to your settings then going to ‘Who can send me snaps’.

From here, change to ‘my friends’ instead of ‘everyone’. The way to report abuse changes depending on what you're reporting.

Contacting websites directly and making a report If you’re under 18 and an indecent or nude pic of you is posted online, that is illegal. If you confirm your age by emailing your passport to a Childline counsellor, we can make a report to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) who will contact the website to try and remove it without anyone else being involved.
